Shikaakwa (lit. wild onion or garlic) is a slide show by Robert Beshara about Chicago using original photographs/videos and music that will be consistent with the current theme for SHoP (Southside Hub of Production)’s show On Making Things Matter: Strategies For Preservation.
“My images and sounds are my artistic interpretation of my experience in the Windy City as an expat who has been living here over the last 3 years.
This event will also serve as my farewell party since I will be moving to Carrollton, GA in August for further graduate studies.”
Robert Beshara is a transdisciplinary nartist from Cairo, Egypt. He’s the founder of N.A.R.T. (The Network of Artists, Researchers, and Teachers). His experience as an artist are in the fields of writing, music, theatre, and film.
B.A. in Theatre (Directing) from AUC, with a minor in Music, 2001.
M.F.A. in Independent Filmmaking and Digital Imaging from GSU, 2011.
